PUA 1st International ELT Symposium 2016

Pharos University in Alexandria held its 1st international English Language Teaching symposium on Saturday September 3rd in Mr Mohamed Ragab auditorium hall. The symposium hosted 300 language teachers and international speakers from NILE, Pearson and Cambridge. There were also specialised speakers who conducted a number of workshops in topics related to effective teaching. The event was the first of its kind in Alexandria and the university. The symposium’s talks and workshops aim to enrich the classroom environment through exploration and hands-on activities. The conference is organized by Pharos University in collaboration with reputable publishers such as Macmillan, Pearson Educational Corporations, Sphinx and Cambridge; and it is going to take place on September 3rd 2016. The symposium is also supported by the British Council The ELT Symposium on Effective Teaching is an excellent platform for researchers, educators, teachers to exchange ideas, experiences, opinions and a wide range of practical classroom ideas for novice and experienced teachers. Symposium Objectives: The conference aims at creating a stimulating environment for exchanging knowledge and experience of teaching and learning; providing an opportunity for teachers from different backgrounds to meet and share classroom experiences; acting as a channel for development on both personal and professional levels.
